RENÉE ELIZABETH
Born on the beautiful island of Jamaica, some of
Renée Elizabeth's fondest memories are spending Sundays at the beach in Portland with her mother, Janice.
Her love of her strong Caribbean heritage and it's natural beauty is often reflected in her artwork.
In 2017, while living in Columbia, SC, she was the victim in a near fatal car accident. She was hit head on. Renée sustained severe nerve damage to her right hand. Through this tragedy, she has found painting and specifically her 'sponge-ing' technique, an unorthodox yet beneficial form of physical therapy.
Renée creates artistic renditions based on her view of dynamic changes in the land and seas.
